Comments & Suggestions

Primarily a video tape collection, the OGEC Resource Center also has books, games bibliographies and instructional CD-ROM's.  The Resource Center serves a variety of health professionals some of whom use it to enhance professional competencies in geriatrics and gerontology and others who are involved in education and training. Please call the Information Specialist at 503 725-5149 to request information.

Training materials are available for all topics that might serve Oregon's continuing education requirements in the fields of geriatrics and gerontology. Examples include: dementia/Alzheimer's disease, geriatric dental care, elder abuse, medication management, falls, common diseases among elderly. Heavy emphasis, however, is on dementia/Alzheimer's care and caring for the caregivers.

One can use the materials in the OGEC Resource Center by becoming a member.  Based on an annual fee, membership can be individual, organizational or corporate.
